Two Houses, One Home
A little world for the two of you. Free, no account, no advert, and
nothing in it to buy. Sometimes misremembered as Two Roofs One Home or
Two Homes One House. This is the one.
A little world for two people who are far apart
Two houses on opposite hills, one yours and one theirs. Each house has
its own sky, and the sky follows that person's real local time, so you
can look across and see it is already dark where they are. Everything
you do together adds a lantern to the bridge between you.
-
A sealed letter every week. Two questions, one about your week and
one about them. The seal only melts when you both press it at the
same time.
-
A letter in the slow post. You write it tonight and it lands on
their mat at eight the next morning, their time. No receipt, no
typing dots, no way to hurry it.
-
Games made for two: drawing and guessing with your own inside jokes,
a quiz about each other, a word puzzle that hides a date night, and
a maze neither of you can see all of, which you have to talk each
other through while something walks the corridors looking for you.
-
The day you made it official. You both type the date blind, and if
you match, the app counts to it every month rather than once a year.
-
Each other's porch. Leave notes, send coffee, water their plants,
and they see it was you.
-
A room each of you builds, block by block, and can invite the other
one into.
